Learn All the Ins and Outs of paddling!

OVERVIEW:

Paddlers will develop their technical skills, both with regard to motor skills and safety.

After completing the course, the paddler should be able to paddle independently in moderate conditions.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Efficient forward paddling

• Efficient turning

• Moving sideways, backwards and turning on the spot

• Edging the kayak

• Bracing and support strokes (using the paddle to provide stability)

• Introduction to rolling

• ​

RESCUE TECHNIQUES:

• Buddy Rescue

• Self-rescue.

• Towing and safe use of rope systems

• ​

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION:

Foundation Course (Grunnkurs)

Certification:

• NPV våtkort ( sea kayaking license ) with a 2level sticker
